Hotel Trundle: Botique Luxury in Downtown Columbia

During our partnership with Experience Columbia, SC, we had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Trundle for our weekend getaway.

The first thing we noticed was how epic the front lobby is! We happened to visit on the first Thursday of the month, which is a fun event night in town.

The hotel had a jazz trio playing in the lobby near the front desk, and wine and beer were available. The lively atmosphere made it hard to leave for our dinner reservation.

The lobby showcases a fantastic mix of exposed brick, modern art, and incredible architectural details.

The Hotel Trundle has a fun, funky vibe! They have the best do not disturb signs for the rooms we have seen anywhere.

Plan time to check out the art that lines the hallways. The art in the room was super fun and made us laugh every time we looked at it. We love knowing thatthe art is from artists in the local community.

King Bed Room, Hotel Trundle, Columbia, South Carolina

    Room Types

We stayed in a king-size room with a walk-in shower on the first floor of the hotel. Our room was everything we needed for our weekend in Columbia, SC, and exploring Congaree National Park.

The mini-fridge was perfect for storing leftover pimento cheese from the pimento cheese passport, sweet treats from The Spotted Salamander (go get the oatmeal cream pies), and cold drinks.

Our room was so dark and comfy at night that we slept 10 hours the first night after driving 8+ hours from Gulf Shores, Alabama.

The custom-made Bricker & Beam bed was so comfortable we didn't want to leave. We would happily book this room again to spend time sleeping and relaxing. It was that comfy.

The luxury bed linens, the fluffy pillows, and the coziness of the hotel make you want to take a deep breath and enjoy the moment.

The hotel's motto of seek magic in every moment is truly found in every room.
