    The Four Daughters Inn

Not every great place to stay near Yosemite looks like a hotel, and that is precisely the point of The Four Daughters Inn.

Opened in 2022, this family-owned boutique inn in Oakhurst, California is the passion project of owner Matt, who named each of the five individual suites after his daughters: Kassidy, Kinslee, Emma, and Peyton. That personal touch sets the tone for everything about the property.

The moment you walk in, it feels less like checking into a hotel and more like staying in someone's beautifully designed home. The beds are genuinely comfortable with plush pillow-top mattresses and quality down bedding, and large windows bring in natural light that makes each suite feel open and relaxed.

The self check-in process is seamless, and the privacy is real. There is no shared lobby to shuffle through, no hallway noise, and no sense that you are one of dozens of anonymous guests.

Select suites even offer private hot tubs, which feel like a serious reward after a long day of hiking in Yosemite. The inn sits right in the heart of Oakhurst, just 14 miles from the South Gate entrance to Yosemite National Park, putting you close enough to make early morning drives to the valley effortless.

For travelers who want comfort, privacy, and a stay that actually feels personal, The Four Daughters Inn is one of the most unique options in the Yosemite gateway area.

My Experience Staying in the Kassidy Suite

I loved my stay in the Kassidy Suite! In fact, I would without a doubt stay here again. The bed alone was enough to make me happy. I have stayed in numerous hotels with hard or worn out beds but the bed in the Kassidy Suite was like a warm pillow and made it hard to crawl out of in the morning.

The room was nice and quiet and had all of the creature comforts we miss when traveling. We really apprecriated the kitchen area and the shower was also fantastic! We were able plan out meals for the next day when heading out to Yosemite and get an early start to avoid the crowds.

We spent the day in the park then came back for dinner in Oakhurst and had a refrigerator to store leftovers in. We were also able to get the coffee maker ready for the next morning with my own personal favorite blend. We were then able to unwind and watch some TV before getting another great nights sleep so we could head out again the next day.

Where to Eat Near The Four Daughters Inn

The Four Daughters Inn does not have an on-site restaurant, but the fully equipped kitchenettes in each suite make it easy to prepare your own meals. The inn is also centrally located in Oakhurst, with a wide variety of Oakhurst restaurants within easy walking or driving distance for breakfast before heading into the park or dinner after a long day on the trails.

Oakhurst is like a second home to me, I love spending time here and visiting Yosemite. Here is my list of the Best Restaurants in Oakhurst California.
