Gulf State Park RV Resort
The RV Resort at Gulf State Park is a brand new campground that opened in May 2026, making it one of the newest camping options on the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Located in Gulf Shores, Alabama, this resort sits inside the boundaries of Gulf State Park with access to the park's white sand beaches, trails, and natural areas.
The campground features 104 full hookup sites, each with a large concrete pad, up to 50-amp power, water and sewer hookups, a paved patio, pedestal grill, fire pit, and picnic table.
The sites are spacious and well laid out, but shade is limited here, so if you are sensitive to the sun or heat, plan accordingly and bring a canopy or shade setup for your patio.
The RV resort is a gated community with a security entrance, which adds a nice sense of privacy and security.
Two modern bathhouses with private shower suites and a state of the art laundry facility are on site, and a 24 hour bagged ice vending machine is located at the pool.
The surrounding landscape is classic coastal Alabama, with longleaf pines and palmetto scrub typical of the Gulf Coast ecosystem.
The resort entrance is off Canal Road at the new roundabout, and check-in is at 2:00 PM with check-out at 11:00 AM.
If you arrive after the office closes at 5:30 PM, your gate code will be sent to you by email ahead of time so getting in is no problem.
