The Cantilever Hotel
The Cantaliver is a beautiful boutique hotel near Voyageurs National Park and the Rainy Lake Visitor Center.
The hotel is influenced by the local region Ranier's historical significance during the prohibition era, and its cocktail room highlights craft, Minnesota-made spirits.
The rooms have an AMAZING plush pillowtop mattress and luxurious bedding, with large comfortable rooms.
The on-site restaurant offers regionally inspired dining that will have you ready to come back for more.
The only negative I could find is that the hotel is near the train tracks. Like every place in the world near a train track, the train always seems to come at night. (I think there's a railroad conspiracy regarding hotels and train tracks.)

Perhaps the best place to visit after spending the day in the park and/or on the water is the cocktail room. There, you can enjoy a chef's table dinner experiences, trivia, and mixology classes.
Needless to say, this is the place to stay and relax, have a drink, or use to get out and explore the area.
Cantilever Hotel Restaurants and Bars/lounges
The Cantilever Restaurant serves mouth-watering meals that will please almost any palette! The Short Rib Nachos piled high with toppings and topped with their signature Dr. Pepper Barbacue Sauce were beyond delicious!
I could get into the menu, but it is a rotating menu, so go, be surprised, and enjoy incredible food. I loaded the menu from our visit even though it has already changed, but the descriptions should give you an idea that they understand flavor and that whatever you order will be good!
The Cocktail Room has several specialty cocktails like a Creme Brulee Martini, a Cherry Bourbon Smash, and a Snickerdoodle White Russian.
Of course, you can stick to the classics or even try a flight of spirits that are produced in-house!

International Falls and Voyageurs NP Lodging Options
The Kettle Falls Hotel is the only Lodge in Voyageurs National Park. It is also on an island on the far Eastern side of the park and requires a boat to get there/back. This will limit your options for getting around the park if you don't have a boat (The Kettle Falls Hotel does offer a water shuttle to/from the hotel).
Camping is also tricky as all the campsites are on islands and require a boat.
This makes lodging a popular choice for many visitors. Don't worry; several lodging options are available in the International Falls Area.
