    Grant Village Campground - Yellowstone National Park {Video}

    Grant Village Campground is located in Yellowstone National Park. This campground is huge! There are 430 sites within this campground.

    One benefit of this campground is the showers and laundry facilities within the campground. You are also close to a visitor center, ranger programs, and easy access to the entire park. 

    Grant Village Campground

    Located next to the West Thumb Geyser Basin on the shore of Yellowstone Lake this campground offers a great opportunity to visit not only Yellowstone and also Grand Tetons National Park. 

    The Grant Village Campground is close to Grant Village with a general store, marina, lodge, and Sinclair gas station. 

    Season: The campground is only open during summer.

    Location in the park: located in Grant Village, just off the Grand Loop Road at the south end of Yellowstone Lake.

    Campsite cost: $31.00

    Rates do not include taxes or utility fees and are subject to change.

    Interagency Access and Senior Pass holders receive a 50% discount.

    Hiker/bicyclist Nightly Fee - $8.00

    Accessible Sites: Three accessible sites, with an extended picnic table and a raised fire grate.

    Accessible restrooms are located near the accessible sites. Accessible shower in Camper Services Building.

    Grant Village Campground Reservations

    Are campground Reservations Available? Yes

    Yellowstone National Park Lodges provides reservations for in this campground. Call 307-344-7311 (307-344-5395 for TDD service) or visit www.yellowstonenationalparklodges.com.

    When you make a reservation you will need to know what type of site you are looking for. This includes knowing the size of an RV you are bringing if you have one.

    When you make a reservation you are reserving space within the campground. Once you arrive at the campground you will be assigned a specific campsite.

     Grant Village Campground Amenities

    The campground has coin-operated laundry and showers. 

    Flush Toilets: Yes

    Showers: There are coin-operated showers in Grant Village. 

    Payphone: Yes near the main check-in.

    Is wifi available? No

    Is cellular Phone Service Available? There is a cell phone tower near Grant Village: check with your provider to verify coverage.

    We did not have service with T-Mobile

    Is camp host available on site? Yes

    Is firewood available for purchase? Yes, Firewood was $8 a box and kindling was $3 while we were there. 

    Amenities at each campsite:

    Firepit in the site? Yes

    Picnic Table in the site? Yes

    Bear Box in site/area? Yes, Bear boxes are available for most tent sites.

    Potable Water? Yes there is drinking water available within the campground 

    RV Camping at Grant Village Campground

    When calling to make a reservation, be prepared to give the size of your tent (in feet) or the combined length of your RV and any other vehicles or towed vehicles.

    RV Length:  Campground sites that will accommodate a maximum combined length of 40-feet or more are limited. Most campsites in Yellowstone will not accommodate oversized units.

    Generators: Generators can be used from 8 am - 8 pm.

    Hookups: No

    How to get to Grant Village Campground

    Located south of West Thumb on the South Entrance Road.

    Grant Village Campground Regulations

    The maximum number of people in a campsite:  Maximum 6 persons per site

    The number of cars per campsite: Tent sites allow for up to two tents and two vehicles. RV sites allow for one RV (tow included) only. (For reference, 2 motorcycles = 1 vehicle)

    Check-in Time: check-in any time of day that there is an unoccupied site.

    Checkout time: 11 AM.

    Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

    Maximum Stay: Camping is limited to 14 days from July 1 through Labor Day, and 30 days for the rest of the year. There is no stay limit at the Fishing Bridge RV Park.

    Yellowstone National Park Entrance Fee

    Park entrance fees are separate from camping and lodging fees.

    Park Entrance Pass - $35.00 Per private vehicle (valid for 1-7 days from the date of purchase)

    Park Entrance Pass - Motorcycle - $30.00 Per motorcycle (valid for 1-7 days from the date of purchase)

    Park Entrance Pass - Snowmobile - $30.00 Entry for one driver and one passenger (valid for 1-7 days from the date of purchase)

    Per-Person Entrance Pass - $20.00 Visitors 16 years or older who enter on foot, bicycle, or as part of an organized group not involved in a commercial tour.

    Annual Park Entrance Pass - $70.00, Admits pass holder and all passengers in a non-commercial vehicle. Valid for one year from the month of purchase.

    $20.00 for Non-Commercial Group (16+ persons)

    $20.00 for Commercial Sedan with 1-6 seats and non-commercial groups (16+ persons) ($25.00 plus $20.00 per person)
