Lupine Campground - Bass Lake California {Video}

Lupine Campground is located in the Bass Lake Ranger District of the Sierra National Forest just outside the city of Oakhurst California. Bass Lake offers visitors a wide variety of activities like camping, hiking, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, and numerous events around Bass Lake and Oakhurst throughout the year.

Lupine Campground - Bass Lake California

Bass Lake is in the High Sierra Mountains with covered foothills heavily forested in Ponderosa Pine, Aspen, and Oak. The fall colors are spectacular in the rolling Oak covered foothills and lake views. Most campsites have shade and the sites closest to the lake have lake views which are epic!

Bass Lake is an extremely popular destination. It is only 1 hour from Fresno with a population of 525,000 and only 4-4.5 hrs from the bay area and Los Angeles! Visitors to Bass Lake can spend the day on the lake or spend the day in Yosemite, the opportunities are endless here.

You can also spend a couple of hours and watch the 1980's classic "The Great Outdoors" starring Dan Ackroyd and John Candy that was filmed at Bass Lake!

The campground is located between the Forks Resort and Millers Landing Resort who both claim to have the best hamburger in the area! Of course, I am sure that Ducey's at the Pines Resort across the Lake would have something to say about that as all three have really good hamburgers!  Basically what I'm saying is that camp cooking is optional here!

The Lupine Campground is a fantastic area to stay and enjoy all of the epic outdoor recreation in the area. This is one of our favorite places to visit and we love spending time on Bass Lake and exploring nearby Oakhurst, California.
