    Wahweap Campground Lake Powell - Glen Canyon NRA

    Wahweap Campground on Lake Powell part of Glen Canyon NRA offers the opportunity to camp with views of the lake. The campground has both RV sites and Tent Sites.

    Wahweap Campground Lake Powell

    Wahweap offers plenty of fun and is a great place to enjoy the solitude of Lake Powell. The campground has a great view of the lake and offers easy access to the marina and Lake Powell Resort.

    You can rent a wide variety of powerboats and water toys at the marina. Day trips to Rainbow Bridge National Monument are offered by the resort and depart from the marina. 

    Number of Sites: 266 - 112 dry campsites (no hook-ups), 90 full hook-ups, and 6 group camping sites. 

    Location in the park: Centrally located at Wahweap Marina about ¼ mile from the shore of Lake Powell.

    Campground Amenities

    Facilities include restrooms, laundry, showers, store, phones, dump station, and potable water. The amphitheater, picnic area, and swim beach are nearby. 

    Showers are $2 with a 15-minute time limit. The showers and laundry are open 24 hours a day. Laundry is $1 for the washer and $.50 for the dryer. 

    There is very little shade in the campground! Make sure you are prepared for the hot sun especially during the summer. We visited in May and it was 105 degrees the day we were there.

    Coin-operated laundry and shower facilities located at the store

    Is wifi available? Free WiFi was installed at the campground. Connectivity varies due to our remote location, usage, weather, and location in the park. WiFi is also available in the Lake Powell Resort lobby

    Is cellular Phone Service Available? Yes, We had spotty service in some areas and great service in others.

    Is camp host available on site? 

    Is firewood available for purchase? There is a camp store at the entrance to the campground.

    RV Camping at Wahweap Campground

    The campsites have level paved parking pads, some of the sites have lake views. There is a bbq brassiere for each site. The RV Park Campground has full hookup sites made for fun with a wide parking pad.

    • 30 and 50 amp service, water, and septic

    RV Length: Sites accommodate up to 45’ - very limited sites over 70’; only two vehicles per site; some double-wide spaces available

    Generators: generators must be turned off between 10 pm and 6 am.
