Lake Powell Resort - Glen Canyon National Recreation Area
The gorgeous Lake Powell Resort sits on the banks of Lake Powell and offers an amazing opportunity to relax with a view of the lake.
During our stay, it was over 105 degrees outside. I have to tell you the air conditioning in our room was epic!
Plus the ice machine that was available to keep drinks cold was worth the stay alone. Add in the amazing meal at the Driftwood Lounge and we would stay at the Lake Powell Resort again anytime.
The lodge has rooms and suites available. The rooms are decorated with a Native American flair, many rooms offer epic views of Lake Powell including Tower Butte, Antelope Island, and Navajo Mountain.
You can enjoy some of the best scenery in the west, lake activities and adventures, terrific dining, and gorgeous lodging and suites.

We stayed in a 1 king room with spectacular scenery outside of our window. The room had everything we could need during our stay.
The Keurig stocked with Starbucks K-cups was a bonus. The air conditioning made for more than comfortable lodging especially with how hot out it was.

Dining Options at Lake Powell Resort
Rainbow Room
The Rainbow Room is the signature restaurant at Lake Powell Resort and the place to be for both the food and the view. Perched above Wahweap Bay with panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding canyon walls, it is one of the most scenically situated dining rooms in the entire National Park System and timing your dinner reservation with the sunset over the red rock canyon country is one of the great dining experiences in the American Southwest. The menu covers American cuisine with a Southwestern flair, with entrees ranging from fresh fish to flame-broiled beef alongside a solid selection of vegetarian options. Breakfast is available daily as both a buffet and a la carte service, making it a practical and scenic way to fuel up before a day on the water. Reservations are accepted and strongly recommended for dinner. The Rainbow Room is open seasonally from April through October.
Driftwood Lounge
The Driftwood Lounge is the relaxed bar and lounge option at Lake Powell Resort, offering specialty cocktails, appetizers, and a comfortable setting to wind down after a day on the lake.
