I'm a retired Park Ranger with 20+ years of experience working in parks. I retired in 2017 to pursue my dream of becoming America's Park Ranger and to become the best National Parks Blog!

My goal is to provide you with an insider's perspective on exploring our National Parks and help you plan the perfect National Park Vacation!
I have personally explored 57/63 of the designated National Parks and over 330/433 of the individual National Park units with articles about each of the parks I have explored, along with lodges, campgrounds, wildlife viewing, things to do, tours, points of interest, and more!
We also have guides for State Parks, Local Parks, Wildlife Refuges, and so much more!
I also highlight the amazing gateway communities that surround the parks, as they provide vital services for park staff and visitors alike, including restaurants, hotels, tours, gear repairs and rentals, plus much more!
