Marcus Island Campground - Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

The drive to Marcus Island Campground in Lake Roosevelt NRA is absolutely gorgeous! Many of the campsites are located right near the water and offer epic views! This is a campground you will want to bring bug spray with you. But the views are so worth it! 

Marcus Island Campground - Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

Season: Marcus Island Campground is open year-round, but water is not available in winter or during low lake levels.

Number of Sites:  25

Location in the park:  Marcus Island is located off of WA 25 on the northern end of Marcus.

Campsite Cost: May 1 through September 30th $23, October 1st through April 30 $11.50

Elevation: 1306 feet

Accessible Sites: Campsite 10 and campsite 25 are designated ADA sites. Site 10 has a maximum vehicle length of 42 feet. Site 25 has a maximum vehicle length of 41 feet.

Campground roads and campsite parking spaces are paved. Campsite areas, like the picnic table and fire pit, are unpaved and may be uneven.

Pets Allowed:  Yes, Pets must be leashed at all times.

Are campground Reservations Available? No

First Come, First Served? Yes, All sites are first come first served

Campground Amenities

One of the great things about the Marcus Island campground is the boat launch (1281’) with an adjacent parking lot.

Flush Toilets: No, Pit toilets

Payphone: No

Is wifi available? No

Is cellular Phone Service Available?  Yes, most carriers have some cell service availability 

Is camp host available on site? Yes

Is firewood available for purchase? Firewood is available outside of the park. 

Amenities at each campsite:

Fire pit in the site? Yes

Picnic Table in the site? Yes

Bear Box in site/area? No

Potable Water? No

 

RV Camping at Marcus Island Campground

The RV loop has picnic tables, back-in sites, flush toilets

RV Length:  Maximum vehicle length varies from site to site. Vehicles, trailers, or RVs cannot be parked on the grass or anywhere except the designated parking spot for each site

Dump Station: Yes

Generators: Generators may only be used from 6 am to 10 pm.

Hookups: There are no electricity, water, or sewer site hookups

How to get to Campground

Marcus Island is located off of WA 25 on the northern end of Marcus. From Kettle Falls, drive north on US 395. Turn right onto WA 25 North. Follow WA 25 North for approximately 5.6 miles. Turn left at the Marcus Island Campground sign.
 

Campground Regulations

The maximum number of people in a campsite:  10

The number of cars per campsite: 2

Checkout time: 12 noon

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Maximum Stay: Camping is limited to 14 consecutive nights per campground within a 30 day period and not more than 60 total nights per calendar year anywhere.
