    Lizard Creek Campground - Grand Teton National Park

    What you need to know to plan a great trip to Lizard Creek Campground in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

    Lizard Creek Campground

    This great campground is located on the shore of Jackson Lake offering epic views of the Tetons. 

    The sites are spread between two loops with easy access to running water, bathrooms, and everything you need to have a great camping trip. 

    Season: mid-June to closes for the season in September. Last night of camping is 9/12/2021

    Number of Sites:  60 sites

    Location in the park: North end of Grand Teton National Park, about 10 miles south of the South Entrance into Yellowstone National Park

    Campsite cost: Make sure to check with the park for the most updated camping fees

    Reservations: Yes, reservations can be made on Recreation.gov

    Elevation: 6,827 feet

    Accessible Sites: Currently, there are no ADA Sites. 

    Pets Allowed:  Pets are allowed but they must be on a leash less than 6 feet.

    Generators: Generators can be used from 8 am - 8 pm.

    How to get to Lizard Creek Campground

    Heading south from Yellowstone on US 89/191/287, continue 11 miles and turn right (west) at the Lizard Creek Campground sign continuing into the campground.

    Lizard Creek Campground Regulations

    The maximum number of people in a campsite:  Maximum 6 persons per site

    The number of cars per campsite: Tent sites allow for up to two tents and two vehicles. RV sites allow for one RV (tow included) only. (For reference, 2 motorcycles = 1 vehicle)

    Check-in Time: check-in any time of day that there is an unoccupied site.

    Checkout time: 11 AM.

    Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

    Maximum Stay: maximum stay allowed is 14 nights.

Now you can get to the parking lot early and beat the insane crowds trying to get to this piece of heaven. The cabins are secluded and located east of Jenny Lake, this resort is a high-class destination for the well-pampered traveler. The dining room offers a prix fixe menu with a local and international flair. Open Early June to Early October.

    Why stay here? Location, Location, Location! The Headwaters Lodge at Flagg Ranch is actually located on the Rockefeller Memorial Parkway just South of Grand Teton National Park, and just North of Yellowstone National Park. The cabins are very nice and makes it easy to explore both parks in one convient location.

    Colter Bay Village Cabins
