The South Campground, Zion National Park is located close to the visitor center, Virgin River, and provides great easy access to the shuttle bus to Zion Canyon
It is only a short walk to a shuttle bus stop and the visitor center. Zion National Park South Campground opens reservations 14 days ahead of time.
During the non-peak season, the campground is first to come first serve but with the increase in visitation to Zion NP you will want to arrive early for a spot! We have heard that people are lining up at 8 am in hopes of a site opening up.
When you are in the campground make sure you look out for cars looping through the campground looking for a site. There are also quite a few deer wandering around the campground.
